Sustainability
LCE currently holds contracts with Smoky Mountain LME/MCO, Partners Behavioral Health LME/MCO, NC Vocational Rehabilitation, and NC Division of Services for the Blind. These contracts enable us to provide a wide array of services to people with and I/DD. Although a majority of our funding comes from these state and federal contracts, we continue to explore other ways to support and grow our mission. Due to the uncertain nature of service structure and reimbursement it is more important now than ever for LCE to build partnerships within our communities. These partnerships are the key to sustaining our important mission and providing person-centered services to more people in Western North Carolina.
LCE believes in having a balance to our organization – it is important to achieve our mission but also important for us to be sustainable while doing so. LCE with its Board of Directors is committed to continually improve our services and our financial sustainability.
We are currently creating more and more relationships in our communities through local fundraisers, community nights at restaurants and breweries and by promoting other agencies in the area. In March of 2016, we hosted our 30th year anniversary at Highland Brewing to celebrate 30 years in the community. We are excited to grow our programs and provide support for the Western North Carolina community.
